School Advancement

The Director for School Advancement provides service, support, guidance and direction to the Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford as they conduct their own advancement efforts in the areas of marketing, public relations, recruitment, alumni and constituency relations, special events, and fund development.  The Director consults with the schools and provides training for them in all areas of institutional advancement, including strategic planning.  The Director also serves as the school board resource for administrators, providing in-servicing and professional development for the local boards.

In conjunction with the Marketing Committee of the Archdiocesan School Board, the Director for School Advancement develops and executes a marketing plan on behalf of all the schools, while providing them with marketing tools to utilize individually at the local level.  The Director for School Advancement serves as the primary liaison to the advertising firm mounting the Archdiocesan Marketing Campaign, and is responsible for the development and distribution of press information to the media.

The Director for School Advancement launches two major collections, benefiting both elementary and secondary schools, raising significant financial support for the schools.
